Ever thought, “Boy, I would love to be able to have some icing on hand to pipe onto this plain old cake”?
I guess those thoughts only occupy my brain at night but, if they ever occupy yours, listen up…
Whip up a batch (or a double batch) of cream cheese icing and put it in a disposable piping bag (you can pick these up at grocery supply stores, at the Bulk Barn or even Amazon.
Now, wrap an elastic band to the top, wrap the entire thing in plastic wrap and throw it in the freezer.
Yup, the freezer.
Not only will it keep for a few months, but it never freezes solid so whenever you need it, just pull it out, warm it in your hands for a few minutes, remove the plastic and squeeze away!
And then, re-wrap it and put it back in the frozen tundra (better known as the depths of your freezer).
Now, how easy is that??
